Who is Jesus?
The Bible is the best source of answers to the question, "Who is Jesus"? By studying the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation it is evident that Jesus is THE ANSWER.
He is the answer to every human need. When someone is hungry, he is “The Bread of Life”. For those who are thirsty, he is the Living Water”. When someone needs peace, he is the "Prince of Peace", and he is the "Great Physician" to those who need healing. He calls those who are weary to come to him for rest, and he is the Savior of all mankind! But what does this mean?
Adam and Eve sinned and caused a separation between us and God. What would have been a perfect existence became death - subject to decay and destruction.
God was compelled to restore our relationship to him because of his love for us. It would take a perfect sacrifice, so he sent his own son. The sacrifice would be a man who would live on earth and understand the sufferings of the flesh as we do, but who was God at the same time. Born of a virgin and raised among us, he was Jesus and at the appointed time he died for us - the perfect sacrifice that was needed.
Who is Jesus? He is the truth and the way to salvation. He came to die to bring life to you and me; a better life on earth and eternal life in heaven!
